For over thirty-five years, Mark Lang has been photographing the Australian landscape with a panoramic camera. His aim has been to go beyond the beauty of the country to explore the extremes of this amazing land. Whether he be scampering about in the midst of a raging bushfire, hunched into a howling blizzard, waiting for the light among the silence of the desert dunes or wandering a dripping rainforest looking for that special tree, his intention has always been the same: to capture the essence of the Australian landscape, and the singular qualities that set it apart from any other place on earth.
“ I would like to think that in my pictures there is a sense of the spirit in the land. That in every rock or tree there is an awareness of a presence, just as tangible as that of a human form. In all my photographs there is an attempt to convey that everything we see in the landscape deserves our love and respect. ”
From this collection of images, a life’s work, he has selected some of his favourite photographic panoramas which are now available as archival prints, produced to the highest quality for sale to the discerning Collector. As an example, signed prints at 110cm across, delivered rolled and ready to frame, are AU$960 plus postage.
Please get in touch to order and discuss options for presenting the work. Mark is always happy to share stories about the making of each image, which will only enrich your appreciation of it once on your wall.
